July Forum Mods Roundup

Sorry we missed June everyone, but we were overwhelmed with such a busy Computex! As you can see we’re back for July though – and the ROG staff have rounded up some of the most noteable mods from the modding forum that has caught our eye.
As always, if you want to recommend any for next month, drop me (MarshallR@ASUS) a PM in the forum!

1. Project <<Open Wind>> - Dual Loop Liquid Cooled ARES

Project Log Link
How about a dual loop watercooled ARES? It may not be as precise as L3P’s MARS II waterblock (full modlog up soon!), but it scores many points for effort and the fact that it’s totally unique! The whole thing sat on its bench-testing mount just adds to the raw appeal. Great work, sp33d3ple.

2. ASUS ROG Thermal Tower

Project Log Link
Before Daniel K joined ASUS Australia a few months ago he was an avid modder. Yet despite his new work commitments, he’s still into making epic towers. If you enjoy big watercooled builds, this is one to keep an eye on.

3. Bel Air (Cosmos II CM)

Project Log Link
It’s refreshing to watch someone with the hand-skills put in the time to cut, bend and fashion mod parts, rather than letting a precision machine do the work. This is why the Cosmos II mod should indeed be respected and Alain-s’ work with polished metal is especially worth seeing.

4. Project – The Next Level -

Project Log Link
Forget a case, how about your own desk. Desk-case? PasLis has evolved this concept into something really special, and with going to the extent of hand-brushing his own aluminum, it’s certainly worth following.

5. Proj Fractal Arc Mini Performante !!

Project Log Link
MilOk definitely has right GENEs for a great small form factor build. Splicing in the ROG red ‘n black into the mix of black and white from the Fractal Design case, coolant and LED fans has created an exceptional contrast of color. Add the effort to mask as much as possible so only the best bits are shown is then the cherry on top. Great job!

6. ______RESURREKTION______

Project Log Link
Despite the excessive use of _ messing up the neatness of my article (damnnn youuu), the modding of Bill ‘MonsterMawd’ Owen is always worth checking out. He’s currently in the middle of butchering this CoolerMaster HAF into oblivion, with some unique ideas for hard drive mounting and display. But green? Boo! Needs more Red ROG in there, Bill!

7. Project: APASF

Project Log Link
A small form factor mod with bits that don’t fit in the original case? Strange? Or, ingenuous. Bare with it and watch the madness of Luciel unfold, in this Steampunk mod.
